James Hunter Fulton Wray served as Sergeant with the Royal Artillery. He was trained in Larkhill and stationed in Macclesfield. When war broke out he served in France and was evacuated at Dunkirk. Later he served in Madagascar and Burma.
He was seconded to the Royal West African Army and Royal Indian Army.
