Biography

Henry Oren Cox was born on January 28th, 1921 as son to Henry Oren Cox and Anna E. Cox. He enlisted on January 22nd, 1942 at Montgomery, Alabama and served with 562nd Bomber Squadron, 388 Bombardment Group (H). He was killed on September 16th, 1943 when his plane, Boeing B-17F, 42-5906 "Sondra Kay" (Knettishall, Suffolk), crashed near Rhiw-gwraidd, Rhayader, Wales, in bad weather when returning from a sortie to La Pallice.
