    Biography

    Lived in Hoogkarspel. Married Klaasje Kistemaker on 8 October 1942 in Enkhuizen. Driver/buffet chef on the Staverse boat. Reformed Protestant. Member of the resistance under the alias Tom and belonging to the L.O.-West-Friesland and the KP-Enkhuizen. Among other things, Kranenburg carried out an attack on the town hall in Hoogkarspel on the night of 31 August 1943 to 1 September 1943. Distributor of the illegal newspaper ‘Trouw’. On 14 October 1943, he was arrested by the Sicherheitsdienst. Together with Dirk Wieringa, he was shot on 20 May 1944 on the Waalsdorpervlakte.
