    Biography

    Lived in Australia. Special Unit Corporal (Z Special Unit) of the Australian Army with the army number WX36795. On June 29, 1945, at dusk, Sharif landed with three other paratroopers near Nikai, Borneo. He was wounded. According to Ernst Braches (Borneo Deaths), he was captured by the Japanese and executed a week later near Nikai. His name appears on panel 11 of the Roll of Honour at the Australian War Memorial in Campbell, Canberra.
