Lived in Nieuw-Vennep (municipality of Haarlemmermeer), Sloterweg 1573. Son of Eliza Adriaan Boer (15 July 1891 - 21 March 1977) and Antje Bogerd (22 January 1899 - 10 October 1979). He was in hiding and worked as a day labourer on the farm of the De Breuk family. On Liberation Day, six BS officers wanted to secure a spring well in the Leimuiderdijk. They disarmed the permanent guard team of the spring well, eight Reich German soldiers. Furthermore, German soldiers were forced to dock on a boat and imprisoned together with the Reich Germans in a barn at De Breuk farm. It was the intention of the BSs to also lock up five German soldiers who arrived by bicycle. But these resisted. This caused a fierce firefight, in which one German was killed. At De Breuk's farm, the German soldiers, who had meanwhile received reinforcements, ordered those present to come out. Farmer tried to flee, but was promptly shot. He was wearing blue overalls and perhaps the German soldiers thought he belonged to the BS. In 2010, on the war memorial on the Leimuiderdijk, Boer's name was added to the names of Dirk Hennink (7 May 1913 Haarlemmermeer) and Pieter Hoogvliet (9 September 1921 Weesperkarspel), the two BS officers killed on 5 May 1945, on the initiative of the DES neighbourhood association.
