    Biography

    John Jacobus Coetzer served with No. 1 Squadron, South African Air Force. He was killed when he was shot down bij anti-aircraft fire on February 21st, 1941 as Lieutenant near Masawa with his Hawker Hurricane Mk I "V7658". He achieved a total of 2 air victories, 1 sharde victory, destroyed two planes on the ground himself and shared in the destroy of 15 others on the ground.
