"On 21 May 40 Capt Heslop, assisted by Agent de Liaison Borde, twice brought their Bn Amb truck into Beaurains under heavy fire to evacuate wounded. They then proceeded over an open ridge under enemy shell fire to bring in a wounded man. Capt Heslop subsequently searched the ridge to ensure that no wounded were left there."
