He has distinguished himself in connection with hostile action by courageous and tactful conduct, serving the interest of the Kingdom in 1942, while attached to the Office Neerlandais (Dutch Office) at Toulouse being in charge of a Centre d’Accueil (Information office), giving his full co-operation in sending Dutch personnel to England and after being asked in 1943 to take care of it in a more orderly fashion, accepting it immediately and carrying out this work as efficiently as possible without fear and while taking great risks until he was forced to go into hiding himself.
