Biography

He started as a driver RASC but volunteered for commando training, went to North Africa with Layforce and after its disbanding applied to join the SAS and was accepted later while part of David Sutherland’s S squadron, merged with the SBS in the Aegean theatre.
His boss was Major Jock Lapraik. He took part in the Symi raid and when he and his family visited Symi in the 1970s he met one of the Greek fishermen whose boats they had used to operate from.
Anatasi took one look at him, raised his walking stick to aim and said" Cameron- rat tat tat tat tat tat". He was also at Lake Comaccio with Anders Lassen when Lassen earned his posthumous VC.
