“During the heavy fighting around Boldone (Courland) in the time period 16.-22.09.1944 a mixed Flak-Abteilung under the command of Hauptmann Jentzsch displayed notable steadfastness and bravery. Despite incessant air attacks and the strongest enemy fire, the numerically and materially superior Soviet forces were repeatedly fended off. 12 enemy tanks were destroyed (some in close combat), 7 of these by a single Batterie within a two hour period. Hauptmann Jentzsch particularly distinguished himself in these battles through his exemplary decisiveness.”
