Biography

Lieutenant-colonel of infantry Theodorus Doove was affiliated to the PAN (Partizanen Actie Nederland) as district commander at Geldrop during the war. He was also district commander of Budel-Maarheze, Soerendonk, Maarheeze, Sterksel (with Rayon commander A. Kooren) Geldrop, Someren-Heeze, Leende, Leenderstrijp, Lierop-Asten to Gerwen and divided into 5 rayons. His pseudonyms were Theo Wieland, John Dankelman, Guus Winkler and Max v.d. Poll. After the liberation of the southern Netherlands, Doove was given a position as a liaison officer at the headquarters of the Second British Army.
