    Biography

    Captain Franciszek Jach was a pilot in the German Imperial Air Force during the First World War. After that war, he joined the Polish armed forces and retired in 1933. He was called for duty in 1939 and joined the resistance after the Polish capitulation. Jach died of his wounds substained during a Soviet bombing run on Lublin in 1944 on 9 May 1944.
