"This officer has been Assistant Director Ordnance Services of the 1 Polish Armoured Division from its formation in July 1942. British Army Ordnance procedure was entirely new to the Polish Forces. Lieutenant Colonel Fryzendorf by his exceptional brilliance, initiative and energy formed in a remarkably short time an excellent example of ordnance organization in the field. He has never spared himself in his efforts to improve and enlarge efficiency of all the Divisions ordnance branches under his command. The proof of his leadership and ability was seen when the 1 Polish Armoured Division went into action in Normandy by the high standard of ordnance services that was produced then and has been maintained ever since.

By his pleasant disposition, tact and co-operative spirit the relations with the Corps under which the Polish Armoured Division have fought have always been most cordial."
Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE)
