Biography

1930-1932 : Officer cadet in Saint-Cyr military academy
1933 : sous-lieutenant (lieutenant) in the 20th bataillon de chasseurs alpins in Antibes.
1st April 1940 : capitaine (captain)
June 1940 : combat against Germany in the Somme with the 40th division de chasseurs.
Summer 1940 : part of the Armée d''Armistice
1942 : enter the Milice Française.
April 1943 : deputy director of the school for the leaders of the Milice in Uriage.
February-March 1944 : chief of staff of the Franc-Garde and fighting against the maquis in les Glières (Haute-Savoie).
June 1944 : commander of the police auxiliary forces in Limousin.
25 July 1944 : deputy commander of the Franc-Garde in zone north.

November 1944 : head of a Milician cohort in Wildflecken - Germany.

End of December 1944 : commander of the Waffen-Grenadier-Regiment der SS 58 following the departure of Eugène Marie-Jean Bridoux.
20 February 1945 : promoted Waffen-Sturmbannführer der SS and sent to the eastern front.
1st March 945 : SS-Brigadeführer Gustav Krukenberg task him to reorganise a Marsch-Regiment from the division Charlemagne : task performed within 2 hours the same day.
3rd March 1945 : severely wounded to both legs by splint shells near a bridge on the Persante River westward of Körlin and evacuated to Kolberg.
March 1945 : promoted Waffen-Obersturmbannführer der SS
May 1945 : repatriated in France and in custody in Limoges.
1946 : with one amputated leg, sentenced to death by the court of justice of the Haute-Vienne.
1951 : pardoned and liberated.
1955 : publish an anonymous book by the editor Etheel : Vérité réconciliée. pour la Milice, justice !
2007 : re-edition of the book by editor Lore with a modified title : Pour l'honneur de la Milice.
