"Col. Oliver has commanded 122 A/Tk Regiment for over 3 years and it is owing to his energy, ability and keenness that the regiment gave such valuable and effective support to the Infantry at the MYITSON Batte Feb. 1 - 222. The Regiment were in action for the first time. On Feb.3rd 168 A/Tk Bty was heavily shelled. The B.C. killed, 20 officers and B.O.R's were killed or wounded. Col. Oliver set up his command post in the Bty area and remained there until the end of the battle. The Bty was frequently shelled and further casualties were sustained. He get and example to the Bty of colones and cheerfulness under fire which was an inspiration to the Bty with the results that they were able on any occassions to bring down most effective mortar fire in support of the Infantry."
