George Edward Bowes Stoney was born on March 24th, 1911 as the son to Edward Bowes Stoney and Kathleen Danaher.

Career:
September 8th, 1929: No. 1 Flying Training School;
August 13th, 1930: Instructor, No. 501 (Special Reserve) Squadron;
May 2nd, 1932: No. 4 (Army Co-Operation) Squadron;
September 2nd, 1939: Flying Training School Cranwell;
?: No. 6 Operational Training Unit;
July 28th, 1940: Flight Commander No. 501 Squadron.

George Stoney was killed on August 18th, 1940 when he was shot down at Stile Farm, Chilham, with his Hawker Hurricane P2549 by Josef Fözö.
