Walter Braesch reached the rank of Unteroffizier and had on his dogtag the text II.Ld.Sch.Zug.89/XI. He was killed on September 24th, 1944 during the battle for Bemmel. His remains were at first buried ad the Communal Cemetery in Bemmel but were transferred to the German War Cemetery in Ysselsteyn on December 18th, 1944.
