“Hauptmann Karl Pabst brought a strong enemy attack north of Melitopol to a halt. During a Soviet breakthrough Hauptmann Pabst hastily assembled a group of Grenadiers and Jäger and rushed to the front. Despite his unprotected flanks he was able to smash the attacking forces of the Bolsheviks.”
