Leutnant Muhr was the commander of an armoured train that had been built by the 9. Flak-Division from its own resources. It consisted of two 8.8 cm guns, one 3.7 cm gun, and multiple 2 cm guns and MGs. In the time period 31.10.1943-04.11.1943 it operated along the railroad track Dschankoi—Armiansk—Perekop, achieving a notable success on 01.11.1943 between the Tartar ditch and Armiansk, where it destroyed 15 Soviet tanks. In total the armoured train destroyed 26 tanks, 3 squadrons [of cavalry?], 1 ground attack plane and a number of supply trucks during the aforementioned time period. Muhr would be awarded the Knight’s Cross for these successes.
