Nelly Laura van Hoogendoorn-Sparenburg lived on 8 Parkstraat in Utrecht, close to NSB headquarters. Near her home, the Resistance had stored weapons that were taken to the school in the suburb of Tuindorp by Nellie, tied to her legs. One moment she interrupted a transport in order to have a cup of coffee with a friend when German patrol cars passed by on their way to the school. In doing so, she certainly evaded being arrested.
