"Captain Lasse C. Heyderdahl, Royal Norwegian Army, has served as personal liaison officer to the British Military Commanders in NORWAY from 13th May, 1945 until 15th of February 1946. This officer gave distinguished service to the Allied cause, and his tact, comradeship, and conscientious work have been of inestimable value in maintaining the good relations between the British Command and the Norwegian forces. He has never spared himself in his work and has endeared himself to his British comrades."
