"Captain GUNDELACH has served as Chief Norwegian Liaison Officer with CA/G5 Division since 1st May 1944.
During the 1,5 years he has been under my command, he has given most valuable service by contacting Norwegian Government officials and Ministries on all subjects, and by running the administration and training of the 27 Norwegian Liaison Officers attached to the SHAEF Mission to NORWAY, and to the groups witin CA/G5 Division Allied Land Forces NORWAY.
He was responsible for much of the preliminary planning on the Norwegian side.
He has, at all times, given of his best, and his enthusiastic co-operation has done much to ensure the successful outcome of CA operations in Norway.
I cannot speak too highly of his co-operation, keenness and evotion to duty at all times."
