Lieut MIDD was wounded on Nov 24 when Sgt Dodds assumed command.
During the attack on Sidi Rezegh aerodome on Nov 25 he acted with great coolness and was an inspiration to is platoon.
During the attack on Sidi Rezegh on the night 26/27 Nov Sgt Dodds lead hs platoon forward under heavy M.G. fire with excellent judgment and consolidated on his objective.
He then, on three separate occasions, personally went forward and contacted our troops forward and on our flanks this under extremely heavy fire from MG and mortar. THe information he brought back was essential to his Coy Commander.
Throughout the campaign he showed complete disregard of personal danger while his one thought was for the comfort and safety of his men."
