Chief of staff of the Polish Independent Brigade Group has held this appointment since the *** of the formation. The growth and the development of the Brigade Group owes much to the untiring efforts and organising ability of Major Zaremba and the extent of his effort may be judged by the fact that eighteen months ago the Polish Brigade was just forming from representatives of almost every fighting unit in Poland and that it is now a complete formation taking an active part in the defence of Tobruk Fortress."
