Biography

Major Erich Hönmanns was the pilot of Messerschmitt Bf 108 (D-NFAW) in which he together with Major Erich Reinberger crashed in Belgium on January 10th, 1940, carrying documents concerning Fall Gelb.
He was hel POW in Belgium, England and Canada until he was repatriated to Germany beceause of his health. Here he was brought before a military court for high treason but was aquitted.
