"On 12 Apr 45, in the attack against the MOLINI Canal line, 2/Lieut KENDER had a recce platoon in front of the attacking infantry. As Commander of this recce platoon he captured a strongly prepared and defended group of buildings and then mopped up the floatbank along the MOLANI Canal. In this operation he personally destroyed from his carrier two active enemy Spandau nests and ofenrohr position and captured 3 POW's. In addition he captured an enemy AFV. He distinguished himself by his great courage and was an inspiration to his platoon."
