"Capt ROMANOWSKI has been ADC to Lt. Gen. ANDERS since the beginning of the organisation of the Polish Army in the East in Aug 41 and during the whole time when Gen Anders commanded 2 Polish Corps in the Italian campaign, and since Gen Anders became Acting G-in-C.

It was his duty to accompany the Commander in all his visits to units in the front line, and he displayed the highest zeal, care and skill in *** to the Commander the best conditions and the fullest information for the execution of his duties.

He also had to convey orders and instructions of the Commander of highly secret and important matters to Station commanders. By his discretion, tact and thoroughness, as well as great personal courage, he was of great help to Gen Anders in his capacity as Commander 2 Polish Corps."
