"Captain Szeptycki has been a Battery Commander since 27th October 1944, he has consistently throughout the campaign commanded the Battery extremely well. His first class technical knowledge, energy and determination and calmness at the moment of difficulty mark him as a commander. During the Spring 1945 offensive he commanded his Battery which towards the end of the operation was placed under command of 5 Kresowa Division.

At forward infantry observation posts he repulsed enemy counter attacks (10th, 14th and 18th April 1945) by accurate observation and very effectively supported own infantry, whilst carrying out these duties he was often under enemy artillery and mortar fire. His calmness and determination never left him for a moment, he was an outstanding example to his subordinates and those around him."
