Biography

Bernard Domski was conscripted into the Wehrmacht and then defected to the Polish armies or taken prisoner of war. He was in an internment camp and joined the 2nd Polish Corps led by General W. Anders. Bernard fought at Monte Cassino.

He was demobilized in England and because his mother had written to him to stay away, he stayed there. Poland had since become a communist state under the USSR, so he was considered a traitor.
