Gerhard Zander did something "wrong" in the execution of his work and was executed for that. At frist he was buried on January 27th, 1945 at the Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats, Amsterdam, Block 84, Grave 51. His remains were transferred tot the German War Cemetery in Ysselstein on March 17th, 1948.
