Biography

Major Turton, RAMC, was the only son of General R.S. Turton.

Military career:
1894-1914: Jamaica Medical Service. District medical officer Stony Hill district of St. Andrew, surgeon to the Reformatory, and medical attendant to Shortwood Training College.
1914: Joined the RAMC at Up-Park Camp.
Autumn 1919: Left with a detachment of soldiers for Belize, but was soon taken ill and died on the 15th December Quirriqui in Guatemala.

He was a M.R.C.S., Eng.; L.R.C.P., London, and D.P.G.H., Cambridge.
