Biography

Enlisted from the Illinois National Guard into the U.S. Army in 1940 and fought at Bataan as tank commander. Staff Sergeant Tenney survived the Bataan Death March and subsequent imprisonment. He wrote the book "My Hitch in Hell: The Bataan Death March", published in 1995.
