Biography

Rivière was Minister of Veterans Affairs and Pensions from March 21 to June 16, 1940. He was also Minister of Colonies under Pétain in 1940. According to French sources, he received the Military Cross for helping two Canadian airmen. This is unlikely as civilians weren't eligible for the MC.
