Biography

Helmut Zwicklowsky died of his wounds on November 23rd, 1944 from the consequences of the explosion at mill Onze Rika in Bennekom, the Netherlands. At that moment he held the rank of Gefreiter. His remains were at first buried at the Algemene Begraafplaats in Ede but were transferred to Ysselsteyn on November 11th, 1948. Because he was buried in Ede it can be concluded he was seriously wounded transferred to the hospital in Ede and died there of his wounds the same day.

Helmut Zwicklowsky was the youngest child of Otto Zwicklowsky and his wife Alwine Zwicklowsky. His oldest brother was Arwit Zwicklowsky, then his sister Ursula and brother Ruthardt. He was born in Allenstein and lived with the family in Waldweg.
