Biography

Herbert Ossig died on November 25th, 1944 and was at first buried at the Algemene Begraafplaats in Ede, the Netherlands. His remains were transferred to Ysselsteyn on November 11th, 1948. He held the rank of Pionier. Regardiing the date of death, the location and his reburial it might be possible he was seriously wounded in the explosion at mill Onze Rika on November 23rd, 1944 in Bennekom and was transferred to the hospital in Ede where he died of his wonds the two days later.
