"In May, 1943, this airman was wireless operator/air gunner of the leading aircraft of a bomber force which attacked an air field at Poix. During the operation fighter opposition was encountered. In the ensuing attacks, Flight Sergeant Kindell displayed exceptional skill, contributing materially to the safe return of the formation. This airman set a praiseworthy example."
