Battle of Lee's Mill Marker

Text on the marker, in Lee's Mill Historic Park:
This is the site of the Battle of Lee's Mill which was part of the Siege of Yorktown. Here, on April 5, 1862, a corps of US Major General George B. McClellan would be repulsed by CSA Major General John B. Magruder's garrison. After probing the defensive works, McClellan would dig in for siege operations.
