Fort Massachusetts

This fort is located on Ship Island. In the Second World War, the fort was reactivated for the training of dogs for the battle in the Pacific. The dogs were trained by Japanese-American volunteers to learn commands in Japanese and other Azian languages.

Nowadays the fort can be visited.
