Battle of Carthage Civil War Museum

This museum is dedicated to the Battle of Carthage and the Civil War in southwest Missouri.
The Battle of Carthage, on 5 July 1861, was one of the first fights of the American Civil War and resulted in a Confederate victory. On the Union side, 13 men were killed and 31 wounded. On the Confederate side, 12 men were killed, 64 wounded and 1 missing.
