Museumship U.S.S. Texas (BB-35)

The USS Texas (BB-35) is a battleship of the New York-class and was commissioned in 1914 and served in World War I.

During the Second World War, she served amongst others as escort for Atlantic convoys and provided naval gunfire support during the landings of North-Africa, Normandie, Iwo Jima and Okinawa.
Almost immediately after the was she was decommisioned and soon she became a museumship. She is completely in the same condition as during the war and is sometimes used for movies.

She is the last remaining ship of the Dreadnought-type.
