Soviet Pillbox Stupino

Soviet machine-gun pillbox built in 1941 as a part of Kashira fortified district. It was made of white stone and concrete at the bottom of the tower of Belopesotsky monastery. The defensive line was built to protect the railway and road bridges over Oka river. It was built by construction department of the Stupino Metallurgical plant under the direction of L. Zinder. The pillbox didn't participate in the battle.
