Belfry Ruins Joseph-Volokolamsk monastery

Ruins of the belfry on the territory of Joseph-Volokolamsk monastery. It was erected at the end of the XVII century. The height of the belfry was only five meters below the bell tower of Ivan the Great in the Moscow Kremlin, which was the tallest building in Moscow for several centuries. The bell tower was blown up during the Second World war. Only few ruins are visible today under a protection of a wooden canopy.
