National Memorial Krivtsovsky Height

From the autumn of 1941 till the summer of 1943 this region was scene of fierce fighting between the German army and the Red Army.

The height today:
A memorial complex is currently situated on the former battlefield of the Krivtsovsky Height. It consists of a 15 meters high concrete pyramide with a soldier sculpture and two mass graves. Between 641 and 1,409 Red Army soldiers are buried here. The number of burials is still growing each year.
