Westwall - Tank Barrier

The remains of the foundations of a line of anti tank obstacles run across the road. There is very little to see, some concrete and reinforcement bars, but this is the northern limit of the line of fortifications that run north from Lammersdorf. The Dreilagertalbachsperre and Vorbecken lakes continue west and function as anti-tank obstacles in their own right, and then there are more concrete obstacles and various bunker remains around the western end of the lakes below the dam, including the Grolisbach stream crossing.

We are about 3 km from the Belgian border here; this is all part of the Westwall or Siegfreid Line, mostly built in the 1930s.
