Captain 17th Lancers
who died at Scutari on the 6th of Nov 1854
Aged 22 Years
from wounds received in the brilliant
Light Cavalry charge at Balaclava
on the 25th of October 1854.


This memorial, within the Salisbury Cathedral, commemorates Captain Willoughby Bertie who gave his life on 19 December 1810 in the Coalition Wars (1792-1815).
