Grave-memorial of Captain Edward Thornborough Parker

At St George's Church is the tomb-memorial of Captain Edward Thornborough Parker, who gave his life on 27 September 1801 in the Coalition Wars (1792-1815). He was the favorite aide-de-camp of Lord Nelson and Nelson donated the grave-memorial. It is the only memorial known to be donated by Nelson. Its was restored in 1999 and moved to the current location.
