Battery Russell

Battery Russell was a part of Fort Stevens, part of the harbor defense of the Columbia River and was built in 1903-1904. The battery was operational until end 1944, when it was deactivated. It was equipped with two 10"guns.

Nowadays the battery is open to the public.
