Festung Krakau - Fort 52 "Borek"

Fort 52 "Borek" was constructed between 1885 and 1886 as part of the Austrian-Hungarian Festung Krakau. This fort was used during the German occupation of Poland as POW camp for French and Soviet soldiers. A Boeing B-17 ''Flying Fortress'' narrowly missed the fort and crashed nearby after it was hit by German AA on 26 December 1944.

It is currently abandoned.
