War Memorial Purcareni

This monument was initially raised during 1937-1938. In the centre of a fenced area is an obelisk on a three steps basement. The obelisk bears an eagle with spread wings and the battle flag in his claws. The monument was original dedicated to the 58 fallen soldiers of the town during World War I. In 1994 a bronze plaque was placed to commemorate also the 25 fallen heroes of World War II.
