Atlantikwall - Widerstandsnest Preekhilpolder

This German strongpoint, which was built in the Second World War was renovated in 2005. It is a good example of how a strongpoint looked like on the island Goeree-Overflakkee. It existed of several parts: an emplacement for a 4.7 cm anti-tank gun and storage bunker for the gun (picture 1), ammunition bunkers, storage for food, water tank (picture 2) and a machinegun-pillbox (picture 3).
